Being a christian isn’t just about doing a religious duty and going to church and leaving the same. The Holy Spirit wants to transform us and grow us through a relationship with the Father. One of the fruits of the spirit is JOY. Friends, joy is available to you in EVERY circumstance! God doesn’t want to give us happiness because it is dictated by circumstance. Happiness comes and goes. But through Jesus, we have access to joy that is greater than anything we could begin to imagine. It’s immovable. It’s our anchor in the storm. It surpasses anything the world has to offer. Don’t believe the lie that it is impossible to be joyful in a hard situation. We can find joy in knowing that our weakness and suffering reveals the awe-inspiring power of God on display in the gospel of Jesus Christ. What more can we desire than to show His glory to the world even if that means facing a trial or two. Your joy will overflow as you discover: joy is not a feeling — joy is a heart posture. A supernatural delight in the person, purpose, plan, placement, provision, and people of God. Taste and see that the Lord is good and I promise you joy will rise up in your heart.
